Acne - Mesotherapy

MICRODERMABRASION

Originating in Europe, Dr. Tcheupdjian has introduced the micro-dermabrasion procedure into his practice for the treatments of acne, scars, and multiple aging signs in the face and body. This non-surgical treatment gently and effectively removes excess dead skin cells, which have accumulated leading to an undesirable and unhealthy skin appearance seen through acne lesions, pockmarks, elevated scars, wrinkles, and uneven pigment.

Combining the latest technologies with Dr. T’s own innovative Microabltalive techniques, the treatment is non-invasive, lasts only twenty minutes, and the patient is able to return to a busy schedule directly after. For these reasons, Dr. “T” has coined microderm as “Lunch-Time Cosmetic Surgery”

By utilizing tiny micro-crystals and surface paddles, the dead skin layers are gently vacuumed away, enabling the underlying skin layers to thrive or breath again. The removal of dead skin (or advancing cellular turnover) will cause fresh young skin cells to be produced creating a balanced and even skin tone/complexion.

The non-aluminum crystals and vibration technique ensure the accuracy and customization of each treatment. This also enhances patient comfort by eliminating the deep scratching and particle shooting.

It finally delivers a deep stimulation to the dermal skin layers leading to desired collagen production. During our discussion of the acne cycle, we included two processes, which are occurring during a breakout period:

THERMA-GENESIS

The reverse thermal heating works to combat even the most active pustular acne forms. The dermal layers almost double in heat to flush out the cellular contamination and P. Acnes bacteria hosted within lesions, while sparing and preserving the healthy skin tissue. An intricate part of laser Dermagenesis is the Na-Yag LASER energy technology used to deliver 1319 nanometer frequencies to damaged skin tissue. Each pulse of “healing light” works to penetrate the skin layers reversing acne breakouts and other existing skin damage (vascular and pigmented).

Each skin-clarifying session delivers a broad spectrum of light energy in a range of wavelengths supplied through precision-measured pulses controlled down to the ten-thousandth of a second. The “restoring light” works to heat and dissipate the sebum oil build-up and P. Acnes bacteria existing within lesions. Concurrently it works to neutralize the acidic state within the skin layers almost always present in breakouts.

Dermagenesis Erbium Laser Acne Treatment
The 1540-nm erbium glass laser works to target the intercellular liquid present within the deep underlying skin layers (0.4-2 mm deep). As the laser penetrates through to the dermal layer, cellular hydration accelerates the deep stimulation of fibroblasts in the dermal skin layers. This heat possesses similar effects as the Sciton laser, except with different avenues of heating the dermal skin layers. The Erbium treatment encourages collagen growth, which not only fills in the deep wrinkles, but eliminates scars as well (breaking down the built up skin tissue in elevated scars while filling in the pocked zones).

ACNE AND OTHER FACIAL SCARS

Understanding the nature of a scar:
When our skin is injured or severed, our body naturally reacts by producing extra collagen to fill in the broken tissue “a cement patch” is you will. Sometimes the overproduction of collagen to compensate for the break in the skin will fail to produce collagenase (the natural collagen melter). THERMAGENESIS

The nonablative Thermal treatment of scar
Scars form as a natural healing process when multiple skin layers are severed or injured (injuries, burns, and from the varying acne conditions).

The radio frequencies deliver a reverse heating effect stimulating the skin under the scar; which causes the fibroblasts in the skin to divide once again. This process causes the elevated scar tissue to breakdown and blend with the surrounding depth, pigment and consistency of the surrounding skin tissue. For scars appearing as deep crevices or pockmarks, the treatment stimulates the production of collagen, which causes the skin to thicken and fill in beneath the scar.

Are the treatments safe?
All Dermagenesis laser treatments (both ablative and nonablative) are extremely safe for all skin types. Out of thousands of treatments, almost no adverse effects have been reported, and the FDA has approved many of these innovative technologies utilized in each treatment.

Pain free and rapid treatments
Dermagenesis acne and scar treatments are virtually pain-free. Patients may feel a brief warming or slight snapping sensation during the procedure, but any heavy discomfort is counteracted by the integrated topical anesthesia or thermacool regulating system.

To further ensure patient comfort, your doctor will apply a topical cooling cream before and after the treatment, providing a slight anesthetic to ensure patient comfort. There may be a slight redness post treatment, but will last a very short time.
